An online video series about Michigan courts and the people they serve

Young people in trouble. Families in crisis. Victims of crime, and those accused of crimes. Business owners seeking resolution of their disputes. These are just some of the people who come before Michigan’s courts every day. Their stories are as individual as they are. So too are the stories of the judges, court workers, and many others in the justice system who strive to serve the public.

Court Stories tells these stories, revealing the people who make the justice system work. Sometimes humorous, sometimes serious, Court Stories is a look at the human heart of the courts.

Episode 2: “Novi District Court: Volunteers Are Priceless”

Volunteers at the 52-1 District Court in Novi offer a friendly, helpful face to visitors, and student volunteers learn about the justice system.  Features 52-1 District Court Judge Brian W. MacKenzie, Court Administrator Joyce A. Renfrow, and 52-1 District Court volunteers.

Court Stories is a production of the Michigan Supreme Court Office of Public Information. Video editing by Michigan Creative.
