An online video series about Michigan courts and the people they serve

Young people in trouble. Families in crisis. Victims of crime, and those accused of crimes. Business owners seeking resolution of their disputes. These are just some of the people who come before Michigan’s courts every day. Their stories are as individual as they are. So too are the stories of the judges, court workers, and many others in the justice system who strive to serve the public.

Court Stories tells these stories, revealing the people who make the justice system work. Sometimes humorous, sometimes serious, Court Stories is a look at the human heart of the courts.

Episode 6: Language of Justice: Limited English Proficiency Court Rule

A new court rule helps ensure consistent, meaningful access to Michigan courts for those who are not proficient in English. Featured are Supreme Court Justice Bridget M. McCormack, 62B District Court Judge William G. Kelly, and State Court Administrator Chad C. Schmucker.

Court Stories is a production of the Michigan Supreme Court Office of Public Information.
