Case Age-Why It Matters

Timeliness: Justice Without Delays

Case Age

Why it Matters

Case Age Disposition Rates

Case age rates measure how many cases are disposed within

certain timeframes, or how long it takes to resolve a case through

the courts.  For the Court of Appeals, the measurement is

eighteen months.  For trial courts, the measurements vary based

on the case type.  Michigan Supreme Court Administrative Order

2013-12 provides these time guidelines.
