Case Age Disposition Rates |
"Case age" measures the time from filing to adjudication, and "case age disposition rate" measures the extent to which courts are adjudicating cases within appropriate time guidelines. For example, a case age disposition rate of 99 percent in felony cases would mean that the court is adjudicating 99 percent of its felony cases within 301 days – the time guideline established by the Michigan Supreme Court for felony cases. For the purpose of case age disposition rates, adjudication includes all final dispositions of a case. The "prior" column reflects 2011 data; the "current" column is based on 2012 data. |
