Clerkships with the Michigan Supreme Court

 

The Justices of the Michigan Supreme Court screen, interview, and hire their own law clerks. Persons desiring a clerkship with a Supreme Court Justice may send a cover letter, résumé, law school transcripts, and one writing sample directly to the Justice(s) for whom they would like to Clerk.

Michigan Supreme Court clerkships typically start in the late summer or early fall and last for one year. Work extensions may be granted beyond the initial year.
