Driving change is difficult within Michigan’s complicated decentralized judicial structure of 243 local trial courts, supported by 165 funding units, and 20 different case management systems, as well as 83 independently-elected county clerks who are not even a part of the judiciary.  Despite the structural hurdles of our complex judiciary detailed in this infographic, our progress has been truly remarkable in three priority areas:
