Information is posted regularly and the SCAO Biweekly Brief (a summary of postings for the previous two weeks) is e-mailed every other Thursday. Information is also available at SCAO Communications and FOCB Memoranda.  If materials are no longer available on this site, make requests to the State Court Administrative Office at TrialCourtServices@courts.mi.gov.

​On May 25, 2016, the Michigan Supreme Court amended Administrative Order No. 2013-12, which approved the rescission of the previous probate guidelines and adopted revised guidelines as recommended by the probate time guidelines workgroup.  The amended Administrative Order 2013-12 takes effect September 1, 2016.  Read the memo, with revised caseload reporting forms and instructions.

​Abstract certification for the period January 1 through June 30 must be sent to the Secretary of State by July 28, 2016.

Authorized users of the Collections Data System (CDS) may begin submitting annual collections reports (outstanding receivables aging, outstanding receivables by cash code, and payment/adjustment distribution of assessments) on July 1, 2016. The CDS application will be available for data entry, upload, and verification until July 31, 2016. The application will also be available throughout the year to view data, manage cash codes, and generate output reports.

Open enrollment is under way for a Board-approved online supplemental course of study for the certified electronic recorder (CER) exam. The course is designed to provide participants with more in-depth training to achieve the skills required to pass the CER certification examination.

The HYTA section of the Manual for District Court Probation Officers was updated, along with web links.  A section for human trafficking deferred status and a chart on revocation of deferred status were added.  Irrelevant sections were removed.
