Body Copy 2A The mission of the Statistical Research division is to collect, maintain, analyze, and report credible, accurate, timely and usable information regarding Michigan courts. To achieve this mission, this division coordinates data collection and reporting through the Michigan Court Application Portal (MCAP), including the Caseload Reporting System. Most of the information is published on the web or available upon request from the division. It is used frequently to assist SCAO in administering the trial courts. The information is used to assess performance measures dashboards and to prepare statistical reports, such as the Judicial Resources Recommendations Report, the Michigan Supreme Court Annual Report, and the statistical supplements. This division also maintains information about courts including: judicial appointments, elections, and bench history; and contact information for judges, court administrators, and court officers.
