On October 17, 2012, Governor Snyder signed Public Act 338, which amends the statutes pertaining to concurrent jurisdiction.
By March 1, 2013, each judicial circuit without an existing concurrent jurisdiction plan must report to the state court administrator whether they intend to develop a plan or report the results of the vote not to adopt a concurrent jurisdiction plan. Objections shall also be filed by that date.
Courts developing a concurrent jurisdiction plan must submit a timeline for the submission of their proposed plan to the state court administrator by July 1, 2013.
All plans must be submitted by January 1, 2014, unless exempted by the state court administrator.
